Major renovation of Aleksis Kiven katu

The City of Helsinki will renovate the water supply system on Aleksis Kiven katu and Fleminginkatu between 2024 and 2026. At the same time, we will improve cycling routes, replace tram tracks and make changes to stops. By replacing the old water supply network in the area, we aim to avoid pipeline failures and major renovations in the coming years. Once the project is completed, traffic in the area will be smoother and safer.
